The Sum at the Everyman Theatre
"I’m a numbers person. Always have been. Give me a sum, I can do it. Give me a spreadsheet, I can balance it. And everything’s a balance: time and money and energy, work and home and sleeping and waking. Wanting and planning."
A thrilling, funny, moving new musical play from Liverpool writer Lizzie Nunnery, full of toe-tapping tunes and melancholy blues. The story of Eve, a single Mum fighting to keep her family together in austerity Britain, The Sum is a direct descendant of those other great Liverpool dramas Blood Brothers and Educating Rita.
A great night out, don't miss this powerful play with songs, where extraordinary working people find their heart, soul and voice.
The Sum is at the Everyman Theatre on Hope Street from 6-20th May as part of the Everyman Company Season. Tickets £10 - £30.
