IDEAS will link these areas of research together strongly with our expertise in supporting the adoption of new technologies alongside our partners and external commercial businesses. Together we will apply new research and methodologies with the aim of accelerating business growth through the adoption of digital technology and industrial digitalisation.

The Institute will collaborate with, and support a range of local organisations from a wide range of sectors and locality, maximising opportunities for innovation and contributing to economic growth, advancing sustainability and enhancing the quality of life.

IDEAS will help mould the digital skills of the future, through a diffusion of research and knowledge exchange between academia and industry.

This activity is supported by the University of Liverpool’s Digital Strategy 2026, which builds upon our strengths in world leading research and impact activities.
