Welcome to KQ Interns, our exciting paid internship programme, designed for anyone aged 16 and over in the Liverpool City Region.
KQ Interns offers you the chance to gain hands-on work experience, develop essential skills, and connect with leading businesses and industry experts at the heart of Liverpool’s world-class innovation district.

First launched in 2025, 20 young people have now undertaken internships with KQ Liverpool.
Our 3 week programme offers ten young people across Liverpool City Region a fully-funded Living Wage placement each year, hosted by KQ Liverpool and a local business aligned to their interests.
Our 2025 and 2026 cohorts undertook a wide range of projects for their host companies, focusing on data analytics, healthcare, AI, sustainability, software development, marketing, innovation, and gaming.

KQ Futures has given me an insight into the opportunities near me in the LCR. I have gained exposure to a variety of businesses across many sectors, and learned about how they operate and the different roles within the business.

Site visits for Year 10–13 students, giving them behind-the-scenes access to local innovation hubs and real insights into future career paths.
Animates
The Animates is a children’s book which aims to introduce the concept of innovation in Liverpool City Region to local primary school age students.
