Primary schools across the Liverpool City Region have begun to receive copies of a brand new book which aims to inspire the next generation of local innovators.

KQ Liverpool has received funding from the Liverpool City Region Innovation Zone to boost its groundbreaking KQ Futures Programme.

The book tells the tale of a group of animals – including a panda, sloth, ostrich and mouse – that crash land from space at Liverpool Science Park and must repair themselves and their ship with the help of local innovators around the KQ Liverpool innovation district.

Dozens of children will help usher in the week at the unveiling of a new primary school book, The Animates - Learning in Liverpool, to inspire 6 to 8-year-olds into science and innovation, developed by KQ Liverpool and Connected Places Catapult.

KQ Liverpool is hosting a special launch event for its Animates Liverpool book on Wednesday 15 May.

Change Makers Live is a national business & innovation conference designed with the aim of exploring innovative solutions to the challenges facing the UK and global economy in the twenty-first century.

The Future Innovators Programme encourages young people to learn about the innovation, science and technology career opportunities available in KQ Liverpool, with an aim of creating tangible aspirations.
