Join the University of Liverpool Management School for a thought-provoking business breakfast event exploring disability, employment, inclusion and financial resilience.
Part of the University of Liverpool's Festival of Social Science, this event will showcase research from the Liverpool Economic Activity Framework (LEAF) project, examining how disability can affect employment opportunities, household income and participation in the labour market, alongside the wider economic impact on families and carers.
Bringing together employers, policymakers, academics and third-sector organisations, the event will explore the barriers that people with disabilities and their carers can face in accessing and progressing in employment, the realities of the cost-of-living crisis, and the practical steps organisations can take to create more inclusive workplaces.
The programme will include a presentation from Professor Ian Burn, Professor of Economics and Chair in Applied Microeconomics at the University of Liverpool, followed by a panel discussion chaired by Paul Amann, Principal Officer for Employment and Skills at the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority.
