KQ Liverpool is a short walk away from the busiest underground outside London and Liverpool Lime Street, with national connections.

Travel Network
Train
Merseyrail carries around 30 million passengers each year between 69 stations across the city region. All lines intersect in Liverpool city centre and KQ Liverpool is five minutes’ walk from both Liverpool Central and Lime Street stations.
National rail services connect via Liverpool Lime Street to Manchester, London and across the UK.

Road
KQ Liverpool is located within ten minutes’ drive of both the M62 and M53 motorways, connecting drivers to the national road network.
There are ample car parking sites within the innovation district, including multi-storey developments adjacent to The Spine and on Mount Pleasant, operated by Liverpool City Council.

PLane
Liverpool John Lennon Airport can be reached by car, bus or train connections from KQ Liverpool in around 20 minutes, providing regular flights to destinations across Europe.
For longer haul destinations, Manchester Airport is also within easy reach, approximately 45 minutes away by car or train. Both airports offer extensive passenger and freight services.

Bus
Liverpool has an extensive bus network that connects across the city region via several city centre interchange hubs.
One of those hubs is at Royal Liverpool University Hospital, allowing passengers to reach locations across the city region, or simply travel across the city centre, from the heart of KQ Liverpool innovation district.

QR codes linking customers to live bus departures have been rolled out at 600 bus stops across the network. This is a proof-of-concept approach which will inform decisions on how the project is progressed.
Boat
As a coastal city region, it comes as little surprise that Liverpool has various water-based routes for commuting, tourism and trade.
The iconic Mersey Ferries transport passengers to and from the Wirral each day, while regular ferry and catamaran services connect to Belfast, Dublin and the Isle of Man. For businesses trading globally, Port of Liverpool handles £11.5bn of goods exports, while LCR Freeport handles 45% of all UK trade from the USA.

Future Investment
The Liverpool City Region has already undertaken record levels of investment in transport across the region, including:
Rollout of a £500m fleet of state-of-the-art trains across the Merseyrail network.
Purchase of more than 100 new all-electric zero-emission buses
Extension of the Merseyrail network to Headbolt Lane in Kirkby
Building of the first new Mersey Ferry in more than 60 years
